Waddell’s School of Music
724-934-1090
Tuition Rate: Tuition is $22 per lesson ($88 for a 4 lesson month / $110 for a 5 lesson month) and $25 for single lessons. If a student begins taking lessons in the middle of the month the lessons are prorated accordingly (Ex. 2 lessons = $44). Payment is due for the entire month, regardless of the attendance of the student. Tuition covers the 30 minute lessons, semiannual recitals, and make-up lessons (if needed).
Single Lesson Rate: For students who cannot commit to a weekly lesson schedule, Waddell’s offers single lessons at a slightly higher rate of $25 per ½ hr. Please call in advance to check teacher availabilities and to set a lesson date. As a confirmation and guarantee to the teacher, payment is due before the lesson takes place.
Due Date: Tuition is due before the first lesson of the month. Payment not received by the first of the month will result in a $10 late charge. If a student will not be present on the last week of the month or the store is closed on the day of the lesson, tuition is still required to be in on time.
Payment methods: We accept cash, check, debit or credit. However, because of the expense, credit
transactions are subject to a $2 fee.
Payment can be made over the phone via credit card ($2 fee applies).
Holidays & Teacher Cancellations: There is no charge for the holidays on which we are closed. These include Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Years Eve, and New Years Day. If a teacher cancels a lesson you have two options: 1) Try to schedule a make-up lesson at some other time or 2) Receive a lesson-credit towards next month’s tuition.
Excused Absence: Anytime you need to cancel a lesson, please give a 24 hour notice. This will be considered an excused absence. We will try our best to schedule you a make-up lesson within two weeks of the absence, though it is not guaranteed. There is, however, a limit of five make-up lessons per year. Excused absences do not earn a credit for the following month.
Unexcused Absence: If
we receive less than a 24 hour notice for a cancellation, the absence is
considered unexcused. No make-up lesson
will be given and the lesson is forfeited.
This is required in order to help the teachers keep accurate records of
their schedules. Should a student miss
two or more consecutive weeks without notification, their spot will be opened
to other students.
Discontinuing Lessons: When a student wishes to discontinue lessons, or take any length of time off, we must be notified before the scheduled lesson times.
